Talia is the Communications and Social Media Specialist, responsible for sending RA News and other communications, as well as managing our social media content. Before joining our RA, she completed the Yahel Volunteer Fellowship, spending a year living and volunteering in Ramat Eliyahu, a peripheral community in Rishon Letsiyon, where she taught English and interned as a grant writer at Pitchon Lev, a nonprofit supporting individuals emerging from poverty. Talia graduated from McGill University in 2023 with a degree in English Literature and minors in Jewish Studies and Cultural Studies. In her free time, she enjoys watching movies, reading, cooking, and spending time with friends and family.

Max is the Director of Operations & Membership at the Rabbinical Assembly, where he oversees organizational operations and supports rabbis at every stage of their relationship to our RA - from students, to active members, to those joining our RA at a later stage of their careers. In this role, he manages internal systems and processes, coordinates cross-departmental initiatives, and helps ensure the smooth execution of key programs and initiatives, including the RA Convention. Max has served in a variety of roles at our RA since 2013. He graduated with a BA in International and Area Studies from Washington University in St. Louis. Max lives with his wife and two kids in Westchester, NY, and loves playing softball, cooking, and being active in his shul community.

Alex is the Office Manager and Project Manager for the Rabbinic Leadership Department, responsible for logistical support and management of virtual programming, in-person gatherings (including committee meetings and Convention,) continuing rabbinic education, RA Connections, and general office administration. Before joining our RA, Alex was Campaign Administrator at the Children’s Museum of Manhattan, providing administrative and project management support for their capital campaign. Before that, he served as Assistant for Administration & Special Events at Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum, supporting the office of the Director and Special Events team. Alex graduated from Brandeis University in 2016 with degrees in History & Classical Studies. Outside work, he enjoys cooking and listening to audiobooks while taking walks around Manhattan.

Wendy is the Manager, Special Projects in Movement Building, responsible for managing select movement-oriented projects within our RA and USCJ. Previously, they worked as the Chief Operations Officer for CommitChange, a nonprofit fundraising platform, which resulted in the company's successful acquisition by Software for Good, a general benefit corporation. They have also worked for Jewish Children's Regional Service as a Communications Specialist. Wendy graduated from the University of New Orleans in 2012 with a master's degree in English Literature and holds a bachelor's in journalism from the University of South Florida. In their free time, they enjoy going to poetry and literature events around Chicago.

Emily is an Administrative Assistant, providing essential support to both the Career Center and Finance Department at our RA. Her role is central to streamlining departmental operations, from coordinating career-focused programming to assisting with essential financial tracking and logistics. A Maryland native and UMBC Psychology graduate, Emily relocated to New York City in 2022. She previously served as an activity coordinator at a senior assisted living facility on the Upper West Side, where she mastered the art of complex problem-solving and high-level customer service. When she isn't managing office workflows, Emily explores her creative side through watercolor and scrapbooking, often taking an art project to the park to enjoy the outdoors.

Ilana is the Senior Director of Rabbinic Leadership, where she promotes rabbinic sustainability, supports professional development and leadership, and provides transition counseling, conflict resolution, and mental health programming. Prior to joining the Rabbinical Assembly staff, she served for 15 years as rabbi of Beth El Temple in West Hartford, CT, and was an active volunteer leader, including co-chairing the RA women’s committee. She is the creator of SULAM (Seek, Understand, Learn, Act, Marvel), a reimagined model for religious school education, and developed the curriculum to train mikveh guides for Mayyim Hayyim. A certified death doula trained by INELDA, she also facilitates Death Over Dinner (or Danish) Jewish Edition conversations. Ilana holds degrees from List College and Barnard College, earned her MA from the Davidson School, and was ordained by the Jewish Theological Seminary in 2005. She lives in West Hartford with her husband and two sons and writes about Jewish parenting, raising a child with special needs, and being a cancer survivor.

Emily is the director of the Tzedek Center, our Movement's hub for public policy and social action. In this role, Jaeger leads the development of the Center’s strategic vision; advances the Movement’s voice in public policy arenas; forges partnerships across communal, civic, and governmental sectors; guides rapid-response efforts on emerging issues; and builds the long-term infrastructure necessary for the Center’s effectiveness and sustainability. Emily brings more than a decade of experience at the intersection of Jewish life, community organizing, and public policy, along with a deep commitment to the values and vision of Conservative/Masorti Judaism. Prior to directing the Center, she led the RA’s communications portfolio, where she played a central role in shaping the organization’s early public policy agenda and Israel solidarity initiatives. Beyond her work at the RA, Emily has collaborated with the College of Southern Nevada to design educational development programs with partners throughout Latin America and Oceania. She is an alumna of the Peace Corps and PresenTense (now UpStart), and was awarded the Olive B. O’Connor Fellowship in writing at Colgate University.

Sheryl is the Chief Engagement Officer responsible for the creation of networks and connections that strengthen members individually and as a collective; nurtures a culture of care and support among RA members; ensures a strong pipeline of volunteers and leadership for Our RA; coordinates the implementation of the strategic vision of the RA; and serves as the professional liaison to the Va’ad HaKavod (Ethics Committee). Before joining our RA, she served as the Associate Director of the Jewish Day School Standards and Benchmarks Project where she directed the development of the Rabbinics Standards and Benchmarks and led the professional development program for enacting the Rabbinics Standards in Jewish day schools. Sheryl began her career in Jewish Day School education at the Solomon Schechter Day School of Metropolitan Chicago where she taught middle school Tanakh, and served as the Rabbi in Residence, Middle and Elementary School principal. Sheryl graduated from the University of Michigan earning a BA in Political Science and was ordained in 2001 from Jewish Theological Seminary where she concentrated in Tanakh and earned a Masters in Jewish Education from the Wm. Davidson School of Jewish Education. In her free time, she enjoys reading fiction, practicing yoga, and spending time with family and friends.

A native of South Florida, she spent her undergraduate years at the University of Maryland and has spent many summers in a variety of roles at Ramah Darom in Georgia, including directing the climbing program. In her remaining free time, she enjoys traveling, hiking, running, and reading.

Noam is the Director of Continuing Rabbinic Education at the Rabbinical Assembly, where he oversees learning opportunities, professional development, and resource creations for rabbis. In addition to his professional work, he is pursuing a PhD at Yeshiva University’s Bernard Revel Graduate School of Jewish Studies, with a focus on medieval Jewish history and the development of Jewish law in Northern Europe. Noam previously served as Director of Education and Programming at Camp Ramah in the Berkshires. He received rabbinic ordination and an MA in Talmud from JTS, and graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Columbia University (History) and summa cum laude with honors from JTS’s List College (Talmud). In his free time, he loves to read fantasy, go to the movies, play board games, and do Daf Yomi (on his second cycle!). He lives in Los Angeles with his wife, Rabbi Gavriella Kornsgold, and their two children, Shemayah and Nessyah.

Idit is the Global Engagement Associate, working with rabbis across Israel, Europe, and Latin America, as well as with individual RA members around the world. She initiates programs, maintains the RA’s global network, and fosters collaboration across the organization’s geographic regions. She also works to ensure that global voices are represented in RA governance committees. Idit was ordained at Schechter Rabbinical Seminary in 2004. For many years, Idit served as Director of Social and Economic Justice Programs at Rabbis for Human Rights, where her work focused on poverty in Israel and the Israeli state budget. She remains active in Rabbis for Human Rights, Isha L’isha (a feminist center), and peace advocacy in Israel. Over the years, she has also held positions in NOAM, served as a student rabbi at a TALI school, and worked as a Yaltha coordinator, as well as in marketing and professional training. Idit holds an MA in Psychology from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev in Beersheva and lives in Haifa.

Sarina is the Publications Manager for the Rabbinical Assembly Bookstore and is responsible for marketing and distributing RA books and journals. Before joining our RA, she worked as a Senior Account Executive at a full-service health and life sciences firm, where she supported the marketing, market access, strategy, and launch of five therapeutic treatments across a variety of medical specialties. Right after university, Sarina was a Senior Research Associate for a healthcare and life sciences expert network, where she served in both research and client-facing roles for a diverse range of research and consultation projects. Before completing her undergraduate degree, she worked as a counselor and music supervisor at Ramah Darom, a Senior Admissions intern at the Jewish Theological Seminary, and a Peer Listener and Trainer with Columbia’s anonymous peer crisis call service. Sarina graduated from Barnard College in 2021 with a degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology with a minor in History, and from List College of the Jewish Theological Seminary in 2021 with a degree in Jewish Ethics. She is currently studying to be a genetic counselor. In her free time, Sarina enjoys being in nature, reading, crafting, cooking, and spending time with friends and family.

Gina is the Business Manager, where she oversees accounting and finance functions, including dues and donations. She also manages benefits administration and human resources for RA staff, assists with enrolling members in RA-sponsored benefits, and handles travel expenses and reimbursements for committee volunteers. Prior to joining our RA, Gina spent over ten years working in NYC law firms, where she served as a finance manager and accountant. She holds a degree in Business Management and Marketing. In her downtime, she enjoys cooking, watercolor and pastel art, and reading.

Emily supports our RA members through all career transitions, from their first jobs through to retirement. She has been with the Rabbinical Assembly since 2014, and before that, she practiced civil defense litigation. Her extensive experience in conflict resolution, negotiation, counseling and contract review helps rabbis navigate complicated career moves. She completed a 120-hour course called Facilitating Career Development, run through the National Career Development Association, received a Certified Career Services Provider (CCSP) credential and is a Certified Salary Negotiation Specialist. She went to Brooklyn Law School, where she received her J.D. in 2013, and was admitted to the New York and New Jersey Bars. In 2009, she received a B.S. in Psychology and B.A. in Sociology from the University of Florida (Go Gators!). Outside of work, she loves braiding hair for festivals and enjoys classes at Orangetheory.

Mordechai oversees the development and publication of accessible liturgical texts and educational content for our broad public audience. In this role, he works with rabbis and scholars to translate complex Jewish ideas, texts, and traditions into clear print and digital resources. His work includes all aspects of publications from ideation to editorial work and fulfillment. Mordechai is an alumnus of McGill University and holds an MA in Jewish Communal Leadership from Brandeis University. He was ordained following nearly a decade of studies in yeshivot, The Hebrew University, and The Pardes Educators Program. Mordechai serves as rabbi of a small independent congregation and, in his free time, enjoys cooking, reading, photography and tinkering with technology.
