What harm is caused to the institution of rabbinic authority and Judaism itself when a rabbi misuses power? How do we collectively regain the public trust? Violations of our ethical commitments force each of us to rethink our relationships with one another and with victims/survivors. What is the role of a rabbinic association when the values of safeguarding the rabbinate and supporting rabbis come into conflict? How can we maintain the standards and sanctity of the Rabbinical Assembly?
