Self-Care in Sync with the Synagogue Schedule
Monday, August 10; 1:00 pm ET / 10:00 am PT / 8:00 pm Israel
Rabbis are navigating enormous emotional, spiritual, and communal demands right now. The work is meaningful and sacred, but the pace is packed, leaving many feeling stretched thin, emotionally overloaded, and trying to care for everyone else while running on empty themselves. Over time, even the most dedicated leaders can find themselves feeling depleted, overwhelmed, or disconnected from their own rhythms of care. The good news: self-care doesn’t have to be one more thing squeezed onto an impossible to-do list. This session, led by Tami Arnowitz, founder of Good Questions Coaching and Teaching, explores practical ways to build rhythms of care and sustainability into the natural flow of synagogue life itself. Through relatable examples and concrete strategies, we’ll look at how rabbis can create healthier patterns for themselves and their communities. Self-care and synagogue life don’t have to compete. They can work in sync.
