As part of our mission, the Rabbinical Assembly partners with RA regions as well as partner organizations to achieve our shared goals as stated either in our Strategic Plan (which can be viewed in English, Hebrew, or Spanish ) or in budgeting priorities as established by the Executive Council. What follows is the procedure and application for applying to receive funding.
The dates for requesting funding are based on the dates of the RA fiscal year which runs from July through June.

Funding Application
Step 1: Preliminary conversation with a member of the RA Staff (for global regional events; Idit Lev, Global Engagement Associate, for programming serving the entire RA membership; Ilana Garber Senior Director of Rabbinic Leadership, or Noam Kornsgold Director of Continuing Rabbinic Education)
Step 2: If your program is in line with articulated mission and goals, you will be invited to submit a grant application. Grant applications are due by 11:59 pm EST on Sunday March 8, 2026. If this is not the first budget year in which there is an application for the project, a report for the previous year must be submitted with the application. The report will cover the months of July through February (inclusive).
Step 3: All applicants, including those who are not selected for funding, will receive notification of the outcome of their application from the RA staff member who is the contact person for the applicants
If the application is accepted, the notification will include the amount of funding, the dates on which it will be paid, and instructions for referencing the grant in publications. Grant payment will be in the form of a wire transfer. Grantee’s wire transfer information will need to be verified annually
Reporting
All funding recipients must submit a preliminary report by August 1st, 2026. A short annual report on the activity must be submitted at the end of each budget year.If a report was submitted together with a request for an additional year, at the end of the budget year an interim report will be submitted that will complete the months of March to July.
